About SONICTECH

SONICTECH Ultrasonics was established in 2004. Since then we have been producing and selling machines using ultrasound technology. Our specialists develop new and improved technological solutions with full commitment, meeting our clients' expectations. We adapt our units to the demands of specific production lines and also build machines from scratch. Reliability, precision, a high finishing standard, and full servicing of our units are highly valued by customers in Poland, Europe and Asia.

We specialise in ultrasound technology broadly understood, used mainly for joining amorphous plastics (ABS, SAN, PC, PMMA) and semi-crystalline ones (PA, PE, PP, POM, PET and others). Beyond ultrasonics, we also supply plastics laser welding machines, vibratory and induction (spin) welders, and hot-gas or rotary welding machines.

What gives us a strong market position: our own equipment and technology base (we are both a producer and distributor of machines), fast sales and service across Poland (our own spare-parts warehouses), quality above all (solid cast-iron construction for 20 kHz welders, aluminium for 35 kHz, tools mostly made of titanium alloy), a skilled engineering team with experience from the aviation and precision-mechanics industries, and 100% Polish ownership.

We are currently expanding sales beyond Europe, into Asia — every year we grow sales and employment by 20% on average.

Frequently asked questions

Ultrasounds are sound waves with a frequency between 16 kHz and 1 GHz — inaudible to humans, but clearly noticeable when touching a working welder. Ultrasonic vibrations are converted into heat through molecular friction, enabling precise cutting, welding, cleaning and joining of components of various shapes. Frequencies in the 20-35 kHz range are safe for both humans and animals.

Yes. Our clients receive specialised help both in selecting the required equipment and with servicing, repairs, calibration and software updates. We also offer post-warranty servicing.

The answer is: yes, if you care about fast processes and repeatable welding results — although it is not a technology suited to every company. The best quality in terms of durability, robustness and aesthetics is achieved when the part's material and construction suit the ultrasonic process. The technology is especially recommended for multi-series production, particularly in automotive, electrical, medical, packaging and hygiene industries.

Ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic materials uses mechanical vibrations that generate heat through molecular friction. The key element is the sonotrode — the working tool that transmits vibration into the joined parts. The vibrations cause movement of the plastic's molecules, which soften and begin to melt. Under brief pressure, the parts are permanently joined at the molecular level.
